Child Locked in Auto - Ernie's Country Store

At 1446 hours, Kent Center dispatched Station 55 (Magnolia) for a child locked in an auto in the parking lot of Ernie’s Country Store, on Peachtree Run. A55 responded shortly after dispatch with Career FF/EMT Watts and FF Cohill. Engine 55-4 followed shortly after at 1449 hours with 2nd Assistant Chief Conrad (55-18) and a crew of 5. While en-route, Kent Center advised that there were two young children in the car, which was running, with the air conditioning on. EMS Captain Lindow (55-40) arrived on scene and confirmed the report, and began to attempt entry. A55 and Engine 55-4 arrived at 1455 hours, 55-18 establishing 55 Command. Crews from A and Engine 4 utilized the lockout kit on Engine 4 to gain entry to the vehicle. Neither child was injured, so command placed the situation under control at 1458, with all units returning. All 55 units were in quarters at 1507 hours.
