Vehicle Fire with Possible Extension - London Village

At 0957 station 55 was alerted for a pickup truck on fire with possible extension into the home. Engine 3 made the response with Chief Rhodes. Upon rounding the bend on Millchop Lane, 55-15 requested an assist from Station 41, Camden Wyoming Fire Company due to the unknown nature of the call. Crew from 55-3 and A-55 arrived on scene to find heavy fire and smoke coming from the vehicle with exposure to an oil tank. Crews made a quick attack on the vehicle and provided cooling to the oil tank. The scene was placed under control at 1019, 23 minutes after dispatch. All units were back in their respective stations before 1200n. This incident is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office.
