R.I.T & Tanker Assist Camden - Wyoming - 164 Saddlebrook Drive

At 11:18 hours on July 3rd, Station 55 (Magnolia), Station 46 for a ladder company (Dover) and Station 54 (Little Creek) were alerted on the working fire upgrade to assist Station 41 (Camden - Wyoming) with a working residential fire. 41-21 (Captain Andino) was on scene with a heavily involved deck fire with extension into the residence. Engine 55-4 responded at 11:23 with Assistant Chief Rhodes (55-17) and a crew of 4, followed shortly after by Tanker 55 with Past Chief Seamans and Engine 55-3 with FF Preszler and a crew of 3. Engine 4 arrived at 11:34 and established the Rapid Intervention Team on the A side of the structure. Tanker 55 arrived and assisted with water supply. Engine 3 was redirected on the engine cover up to Station 41. The scene was placed under control at 11:37 and the crew from Engine 4 was placed in service to assist with overhaul. Engines 55-3 and 54-2 were recalled to the scene and assisted with overhaul as well as with clean up. Magnolia units were clear at 12:25. Units Responding: Engines 41-3, 41-1, 41-4, 55-4, 46-4, 55-3, 54-2, Tankers 55 & 41, Rescue 41, Ladder 46-2, Kent County Medics 9 & 5, Ambulance 63, DSFP and the Delaware State Fire Marshal's office. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. Reminder to all our members and fellow firefighters to stay hydrated and not over exert yourself during this heat wave!
