House fire - Plaindealing rd

On Sunday 1-27-13 at 1935hrs Magnolia Fire Co. along with Engine Co. 41 and Sta. 54 for the RIT were dispatched for a working structure fire at 350 Plaindealing Rd. Engine 55-4 arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from a single story, single family dwelling. Asst. Chief Scott Vautard assumed Plaindealing Rd command. The crew from 55-4 placed three 1 3/4" handlines in service and began to attack the fire from the interior of the residence. Upon arrival of Engine Co. 41 they were asigned to secure the utilities and place another handline in service. Units from Sta. 54 arrived and set up R.I.T. in the front yard of the residence. Command placed the scene under control in approx. an hour with extensive overhaul. As units began to clear, the scene was turned over to DSFM FM 28.
