House Fire at The Reserve At Chestnut Ridge - 838 Windrow Way

On April 8, 2016 The Kent County 911 Center Dispatched the MVFC along With Ladder Company 41 and RIT company 48 for a Reported House Fire. Upon arrival of Squad 41 reported smoke showing from the structure followed immediately by Engine 55-4 with 55-19 establishing command 55. Crews stretched 2 hose lines to the structure to investigate the cause of the fire. Upon further investigation crews found that the cause of the fire was due to a fire in the dryer on the 2nd floor, crews from there had to open up walls and ceilings to check for any possible extension of fire into the walls and attic of the structure. Tower Ladder 41 arrived and set up there ladder incase there was a need to ventilate the roof any further, crews quickly brought the fire under control in about 1 hour. The Little Creek Vol. Fire Co provided a single engine to cover the MVFC while units operated at the fire. MVFC Units: Engine 55-4, Rescue 55, A55.
