Magnolia Fire Company signs contract with Pierce Manufacturing for new engine

On April 30, 2021, the Magnolia Vol. Fire Company signed a contract with Pierce Manufacturing to purchase a new engine. The signing of this contract with Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, WI is the completion of a long process of countless hours of research, discussion, meeting, and hardwork to spec a fireman friendly engine for us that will serve us and the community for many years to come. After reviewing several other manufacturers, Pierce Manufacturing met the needs of our department. Fire Chief RW Rhodes Jr., President Kevin Consalo, and Truck Committee Chairperson  Jamie Bethard met with our Pierce sales representative Brian Bashista to officially sign the contract to take delivery of our new engine sometime in the next year. This Pierce engine will join our 2013 Pierce rescue pumper in our fleet. We are excited to be working with Pierce again on another apparatus and we appreciate Brian's hardwork in working with us on building a fire apparatus that will serve us well. Details on the new engine include:

*Pierce Enforcer custom pumper with seating for 6

*10" raised roof

*1500 GPM Waterous single stage pump

*1000 gallon water tank

*Husky 12 foam system with a 50 gallon class A foam cell

*Low hose bed with a total of 4 preconnected handlines

*2 preconnected bumper lines

*Whelen LED lighting package and FireTech scene lighting
