Working Trailer Fire in Magnolia MHP
Tuesday, December 20, 2022
Tonight, as we were finishing up our first night of our Santa Run, Kent Center advised Command 55 (Fire Chief Buff) of a working trailer fire in Magnolia MHP. Engine 54-2 from Little Creek was covering our firehouse while we were out and they responded immediately as well as Engine 55. Engine 54-2 arrived as the first due engine with Engine 55 right behind assuming the second due engine, were met with heavy fire showing from a single wide trailer. Two lines were placed into service to knock down the fire which took approximately 15 minutes to extinguished. Engine 41 arrived and assumed the first due special service assignment and performed searches which were negative. Units remained on scene for overhaul. There were no reported injuries. All units operated under the command of Fire Chief Ryan Buff. The scene was turned over to Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office for investigation. Our prayers go out to the family affected by this devastating incident.
Thank you to the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company and Frederica Fire Company for their assistance as well as Little Creek Fire Company for covering our firehouse while we were on our Santa Run and for assisting us on scene.
