Rescue pops door on MVC with entrapment

Today, we were dispatched for an MVC with reported entrapment on Route 1 sound bound, sound of Trapshooters Rd. While enroute, an updated location was given of northbound Route 1, north of Exit 88. Kent County Medics arrived on scene confirming one trapped. Rescue 55 put their hydraulic tools to work to perform a door pop to removed the trapped occupant who was then flown by DSP Aviation Trooper 2 to a trauma center for further evaluation. Mutual aid was provided by Frederica, Little Creek, and Dover AFB Fire Companies. All units were under the command of Third Assistant Chief Matt Stoltz.
