Engine and Rescue handle early morning auto fire

Just before 6:00am, we were dispatched to S. State St and Ponderosa Dr for a report of an auto on fire. Fire Police arrived on scene first to find a pickup truck in fire in the driveway of a residence. Engine 55 arrived, stretched their bumper line, and had the fire knocked down in about 5 minutes. Rescue 55 arrived and assisted with overhaul. There was no extension into the residence. Units were placed in service shortly after. Third Assistant Chief Matt Stoltz had command.
