Field Fire/ Engine company assist for the working house fire - Sophers Row (Field Fire)/Station 49 (House Fire)

On February 19, 2011 the MVFC had a busy morning. Station 55 was alerted at 10:21 hours to standby for Station 49 (Frederica) while they had a working house fire in town. Engine 55-3 (FF Prezzler) went responding at 10:27 hours. Upon going responding 55-3 was notified by Kent Center that they were receiving a call for a field fire in the 55 fire district. Engine 55-3 redirected to a small field fire on Sophers Row and was followed by 55-0. After command (FF Prezzler) placed the field fire under control at 10:44 hours, 55-3 continued to Frederica to assist Station 49 on the house fire. All 55 units returned to quarters at 12:44 hours. Units on Scene (Field Fire): Engine 55-3, Brush 55-0 Units on Scene (House Fire): Engine 55-3, Station 49 (Frederica), Station 48 (Felton), Station 40 (Bowers), Delaware State Fire Marshal, and Delaware State Fire Police.
