Brush Runs Fire in Storm Drain - 222 Bay Hill Rd
Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Around 1300 hrs on November 19th station 55 was alerted for an outside fire. Brush 55 (Olenik)responded with 3. Kent Center advised that there was a fire in a storm drain. Upon arrival the crew found the fire and quickly extinguished the fire. The Brush unit was clear the incident and in quarters within 30 minutes.

We would like to thank the passer-by that stopped and called 911 before the incident could spread. We would also like to remind the community that the National Weather Service puts out Red Flag Warnings to alert citizens when there is a high potential for easily ignitable fuels. When these are in effect we ask that you verify cigarettes and other ignition sources are fully extinguished before disposing of them.

Feel free to contact the fire company with questions at 335-3260 or by using the Contact Us form on the website. In the event of an emergency always call 911 first.
