MVC Subject Reported Trapped - 95 E Walnut St

On February 23, 2016 At 1324, The Kent County 911 Center alerted the MVFC for a MVC subject reported to be trapped. A55 and R55 went responding under the authority of 55-15 to find a single patient self extricated from the vehicle. The Vehicle had struck a telephone pole, a fence, speed radar sign, and a fire hydrant resulting in the water main being broken. The patient was transported to Kent General Hospital Via A55 with minor injuries. The road was closed for several hours while the water main break was fixed and the electrical pole was replaced and power was restored to the town. Station 41 was alerted for a Rescue Asst along with a 2nd ambulance but was returned shortly after responding due to negative entrapment. Fire apparatus returned and left the scene to the utility company's and Delaware State Police. Units on scene: A55, R55, 55-8, KM7, DSP. Cancelled: A41, Squad 41
